There are few things in life that everyone you know will agree on. One of these is the importance of sleep. Everyone recognizes the benefits of a good night’s sleep, but actually getting it can be another matter altogether. Snoring and sleep apnea are two the biggest culprits for preventing people from getting the full night’s sleep they need.
Paradise Med Spas has a solution to this chronic and frustrating problem: SnoreAway. If snoring is preventing you or a loved one from sleeping throughout the night, call our offices and schedule a consultation about SnoreAway today.
SnoreAway
As one of the options in the versatile laser system, SnoreAway is a simple, non-invasive laser procedure which could be the answer to your sleeping issues. Patients from around the country are talking about this innovative way to stop snoring.
Snoring is caused by oxygen, specifically the flow of oxygen into the body. When air isn’t entering the body smoothly through the throat, it causes the throat to flex. This flexing of the muscles is what causes the classic snoring sound we’re used to. SnoreAway works by widening the gaps in the back of the throat, allowing more oxygen to get into the system and ending snoring once and for all.
The SnoreAway Procedure
One of the reasons SnoreAway is touted so highly is because of how easy it is to receive. Patients don’t have to worry about anesthesia, needles or painful treatment. It works by using targeted light beams to heat the tissue of the throat, tightening it enough to affect the airways. The treatment itself is done in two steps:
- Preconditioning
- Tissue Strengthening
The entire process involves three appointments spread over a six-week period. Each time you come in, the throat will slowly get tighter, and the effects of snoring will subside. Once all three treatments are completed, you’ll notice results which last for up to an entire year or more. If you notice the sounds beginning to come back, further treatments are allowed.
The only noticeable side effect from previous patients is the presence of a sore throat for a day or two following treatment.
